McRoskey Mattress Company has been handcrafting quality mattresses and box springs in San Francisco, California since 1899. At McRoskey, we build every major mattress component ourselves, and empower every craftsperson in our factory to maintain our exacting standards for quality. We offer factory tours where visitors can see our time honored production and assembly processes of these high quality handcrafted mattresses. The company was founded by Edward and Leonard McRoskey. Originally they had arrived in San Francisco as salesmen for a Chicago based engineering firm hoping to sell mattress making equipment to other manufacturers. Instead the McRoskeys decided to set up business for themselves as manufacturers of handmade mattresses.
