Sheldon set for Small Business Saturday

Phil Warnke hopes “Reindeer in Here” is a hit with shoppers this weekend.The owner Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop in downtown Sheldon likes that the book and plush figure combination carry a positive message about celebrating differences. His store has a display set up for the item, which has become an Amazon.com best-seller and garnered multiple awards from various parenting groups.In addition to “Reindeer in Here” think of it at as akin to Elf on the Shelf but with less work for parents  Warnke is offering early bird shoppers 20 percent of their entire ticket Friday, Nov. 23, and 30 percent off any regular priced item 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.It’s one of our busiest days of the year,” Warnke said. “Traditionally, it’s always been the Friday, but the last three or four years the Saturday is catching up.
