Regions Bank Launches Commercial Business Development Team

Region Bank announced the launch of a Commercial Business Development team. The team is dedicated to assisting small businesses in developing tailored financial plans for success.

The new team is overseen by experienced banking veteran Jordan Baxter, senior vice president of Regions Commercial Banking Solutions. Baxter and the Commercial Business Development team assist business owners and managers build their companies while fulfilling complicated financial demands. This is done via the collaboration of Baxter and his team with product partners from across the bank who add specific expertise in areas like Treasury Management, Equipment Finance, SBA Lending, and Franchise Lending, all of which contribute to the growth of small companies.

The new Commercial Business Development team, based mostly in Birmingham and serving customers throughout the Southeast, Midwest, and Texas, now comprises ten relationship bankers in Business Development, with plans to expand in the future. The team's service methodology combines bankers with their sector expertise as they contact customers and prospects to ascertain financial needs and provide insightful guidance in collaboration with product partners across Regions.

The new Commercial Business Development team has already served industrial enterprises, manufacturers, and distributors — as well as sub-industries within these sectors. Commercial Business Development is largely focused on servicing firms with intricate banking needs, such as Treasury Management systems and one-of-a-kind credit requirements.

Baxter first joined Regions in June 2007 in the company's Consumer Banking division. He took a brief leave of absence in 2017 and returned the following year as a member of Regions' Learning and Development team, where he led a group of Consumer and Commercial Banking trainers. Baxter most recently worked as a Commercial Banking Solutions manager responsible for clients situated in Florida.
