Quickbooks Introduces New Hardware to Expand Small Business Mobile Payments Offering

QuickBooks Card Reader, a new innovative payments device designed for today's small business owners, is now available from Intuit QuickBooks. The card reader is the latest fintech offering to help small businesses get paid faster, regardless of how or where they work. It is integrated with QuickBooks Payments, which processes more than $65 billion in volume annually.

Small business owners are well-positioned to adapt to shifts in new payment methods with QuickBooks Card Reader, as they can speed up in-person sales, accept payments on the go, and have transactions automatically reconciled in QuickBooks. Customers can always check out quickly, and transactions move quickly because the reader accepts card payments via insert, tap, or digital wallet.

QuickBooks Card Reader distinguishes itself in the payments landscape due to its innovative design, feature set, and low cost. We conducted extensive customer research to identify key features those small businesses want as they seek a more seamless payment experience. Its design features include:

QuickBooks will also release the QuickBooks Power Stand* in Summer 2021, providing small businesses with a sleek and portable countertop payments hub that can support their business anywhere. The Power Stand battery wirelessly charges the QuickBooks Card Reader and includes an integrated USB port for charging USB-compatible devices such as a phone or tablet.
