IBM Provides Resources to Small Business Owners at No Cost

IBM  today announced the availability of Reigniting Small Business from IBM, a program aimed at providing no-cost education and coaching to assist small businesses in running their businesses more effectively as the COVID-19 pandemic eases.Reigniting Small Business from IBM was launched in collaboration with organizations such as Huntington National Bank and Jones Day, as well as non-profits such as The United Way of New York City and Forward Cities.

IBM's Reigniting Small Business will provide live and on-demand tutorial sessions on topics such as human resources, accounting, funding, and legal, as well as digital branding, marketing, and customer relationship strategy. Individual entrepreneurs will also be able to receive free coaching from IBM volunteers and other industry professionals.The content for Reigniting Small Business from IBM's webinar library, which can be found at Reigniting Small Business from IBM, comes from reputable organizations that specialize in business-related topics.

IBM volunteers will make recommendations on a variety of topics, including digital marketing strategy. IBMers will also assist in making recommendations to economic development organizations in select communities across the United States. They will mentor small business owners through programs such as the United Way of New York City's Together We Thrive: Black Business Network, a broad coalition of government, non-profit, and corporate partners dedicated to assisting Black-owned businesses in New York City.

IBM Service Corps will coordinate IBM employees' community service. IBM volunteers will be matched with entrepreneurs through a customized online portal for Reigniting Small Business from IBM. National non-profits, such as Forward Cities, will recruit community partners to help ensure that the needs of business owners are identified and addressed by IBM volunteers.IBM and Jones Day are also collaborating to offer Reigniting Small Business from IBM webinars in Spain and Italy, with content tailored to regional challenges.
