Small business owners in Athens encouraging people to head downtown

Small businesses in Athens are encouraging people to head downtown on the weekends by opening their doors on Sundays. Local shops and restaurants will open up on the second Sunday of every month this summer. They will be open from 12:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. Boneyard Antiques Owner, Wendy Yarbrough, says she is surprised at how many people came into her store today."We originally opened on Sundays when we opened about a year ago, and we just didn't see the foot traffic, so we decided to take the day off, but we're kind of excited about the amount of people that were downtown today," Yarbrough.
