With the economy close to full employment, the competition for talent among businesses has perhaps never been tighter. For savvy small business owners, especially, there’s an opportunity to stand out from the competition by offering benefits today’s job seekers want.One of those benefits is a retirement plan, but many small businesses across the U.S. are not offering them because they think they’re too expensive or cumbersome to administer.A new program from AARP Innovation Labs is looking to change that perception.Launched in May, Vested In U has been designed to transform the way small business owners compare and select retirement plans. It’s an online offering that takes the complexity out of comparing plans and allows users to connect with financial providers who can help them pick the option that’s best suited for them.
