Amazon to Showcase Small Businesses in UK Pop-Up Shops

Amazon is opening 10 brick-and-mortar shops across the UK in an effort to promote small businesses.The tech titan partnered with Enterprise Nation, Direct Line for Business, and Square to launch a new program aimed at boosting small-brand growth, in-store and online.A year-long pilot will enable more than 100 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to sell directly on the high street via Clicks and Mortar pop-ups.The first location opened today on St. Mary’s Gate in central Manchester, with more coming soon to the Midlands, Yorkshire, and across South East England, as well as Scotland and Wales.Each store will stock a range of brands—everything from homeware, health, and beauty products to food, drink, and electronics. That includes foldable Swifty Scooters for adults, leather Torro Cases for electronic devices, and Altr for Men skincare products.
