Help is available for small business owners affected by massive flooding

The high water mark in Will Lindgren's basement reached five feet at the peak of flooding."We lost our furnace, we lost our hot water heater, we lost our well tank," said Lindgren. Most of the water has since gone down, but he's not out of the woods. Groundwater is still bubbling to the surface. Outside of the basement, Lindgren told FOX 42 News the farm also took a major hit."In a typical year, I would have carrots up already and radishes and spinach and lettuce."This is not a typical year, however, and that's making it tough on the Waterloo produce business he operates."We're just now getting them into the ground and it's about a month late."For Lindgren, there is a lifeline available. The Federal Emergency Management Agency recently opened a Disaster Recovery Center in neighboring Valley. If he wanted to, he could seek a loan from the US Small Business Administration. It would help cover property damage.
