Small business owners step up for International Women’s Day

In Ilderton, the Middlesex Centre village just north of London, a largely female-led small business community is coming together to celebrate International Women’s Day tomorrow and they hope their efforts will ripple out into the community, all the way to the Women’s Rural Resource Centre (WRRC) in Strathroy-Caradoc. The purpose of the Ilderton and Area Business Association is to support local businesses and it just so happens that many of Ilderton’s small business owners are women. At a recent meeting, two members proposed donating a portion of proceeds on International Women’s Day to support women in need and the rest jumped on the idea.
