DHS Announces Solicitation for Small Business Innovation Research Projects

The Department of Homeland Security is soliciting for a number of small business innovation research projects in support of its Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office and Science and Technology Directorate.Interested small businesses may submit proposals over the solicitation period that will run through Feb. 12, 2019, DHS said Friday.The solicitation covers topics in the areas of cybersecurity, explosive detection, unmanned aircraft systems, radiological threats and other security fields of interest to the department.“The SBIR program allows DHS to engage small business innovators in developing solutions for homeland security challenges,” said William Bryan, DHS’ acting undersecretary for science and technology.
