Locals awarded for service at Small Business Forum Awards

Three small businesses were awarded for their service here in Wichita Falls at the Governor's Small Business Forum on Thursday.The mother-daughter duo, Carol Murray and Jessica Edwards, founder and co-founder of Franks and Joe's Coffee House, were among the awardees.They have been in business for more than two years now and described what it means to be recognized for their hard work."I think it's important to say that our state, we are lucky to live in a state that they recognize small businesses. We heard a lot of the speakers talking about how important small businesses are and that they are the backbone of our community, and it's just so important for us to continue to recognize small businesses and make sure we shop local and as much as we can and continue to grow the small business community in Texas and especially Wichita Falls," Edwards said.
