Verizon, a renowned technology and communications services provider, has recently unveiled exciting news for small businesses, introducing fresh grant funding opportunities worth $500,000 through the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready. In partnership with Next Street and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), this online resource aims to empower under-resourced small businesses with the essential tools to not only survive but thrive in today's digital economy.
Small business owners who join this platform gain complimentary, tailored access to multiple resources, including over 40 online courses, the chance to connect with industry experts for mentorship, peer networking events, one-on-one expert coaching, and even the possibility to apply for grant funding. A recent survey of 4,500+ registered small business owners revealed an overwhelming 99% agreement that Small Business Digital Ready courses had a positive impact on their business.
To provide a more personalized experience, Verizon Small Business Digital Ready has been updated with new content featuring short-form videos, articles, and audio clips. Additionally, the platform has been given a fresh makeover, offering small business owners a clear roadmap to the resources and tools that suit their needs best.
Beginning October 12 and extending until December 20, 2023, small businesses can access the application for this round of grant funding by registering on Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and completing at least two of the following in any combination: coaching, courses, or community events. Completing the application makes them eligible for consideration to receive a $10,000 grant.
Verizon Small Business Digital Ready offers a range of courses covering vital topics like marketing strategy development, enhancing employee experiences, cybersecurity, leveraging social media for growth, and much more. The free portal also provides access to expert mentorship, enabling small business owners to gain invaluable advice and support from seasoned professionals to overcome business challenges. Spanish language courses, one-on-one coaching from experts, and community events are also available.
