Small-business owner recovering after robbers smash guitar against his head

Richland police are looking for two men they say smashed a guitar against the business-owner of the shop they'd just stolen from.Video surveillance shows two men entering the Uptown's Music Unlimited on Friday afternoon.Store-owner Dick Ward says the men spent an hour in the store, talking to each other in Spanish, before taking off with two guitars.Ward chased after and caught up with them, and that's when he says things got violent."The younger one of the two turned around with the guitar in his hand and in perfect English said, 'You want this guitar?', swung at me and got me upside the head," Ward said. "Unfortunately I couldn't get up to retaliate and saw the car drive away after he got into it."Ward tells Action News this is the first time a robbery has ever gotten physical, but it's also the first time he's ever tried to catch them by himself. If you recognize either of the men in these pictures, the Richland Police want to hear from you at 509-628-0333.
